AMVCA 2024: Celebrity Actors And Movies Make Home Deserving Awards

The 10th edition of the AMVCA took place at Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos on Saturday, 11th May, 2024.

The event that awards actors and filmmakers from all over Africa for exceptional performances and movies was hosted by IK Osakioduwa.

The AMVCA event featured ample great fashion, surprise victories, and clumsy remarks.

The awards were the night’s highlight, but there were other memorable moments and uncharacteristic speeches.

One such awkward speech came from Demola Adedoyin, Best Supporting Actor with intentions to give a speech on chasing dreams.

However, Lupita Nyong’o’s speech at the Oscars about true dreams seemed impossible for him to forget.

Demola replayed the Kenyan-Mexican actress Oscar’s speech while receiving his award at AMVCA before he was taken off the stage.
