Cristiano Ronaldo, the popular forward player from Portugal, has stated that he may soon end his football career.
Specifically, he hinted that Al-Nassr, the Saudi Pro League club, could be his last.
Notably, there have been several rumors about the future of the player.
This is mainly about whether he might want to return to his first club, Sporting Lisbon at age 39.
However, the football legend clarified in an interview with Portuguese television that he is now satisfied with his situation.
He stated that he does not know if he will retire in two or three years but will likely retire in Al-Nassr.
Also, he expressed his happiness in settling in Saudi Arabia and noted that the place encouraged him to keep playing for the club.
Meanwhile, the move to Al-Nassr in January 2023 was his last transfer.
The football world has seen him display his talent in several other clubs including Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Interestingly, the legend does not feel his age is a reason to quit his football career.
In fact, he feels driven to achieve more at club and international levels.
Even after having a significant 898 goals to his name, he still feels the need to add to his achievements.
Moreover, there is no plan to leave his country-side team, as he is willing to keep contributing to its success.
This is particularly true for the upcoming UEFA Nations League competition.
About leaving the national team, he stated that it would come as a surprise.
There will not be a prior notice and he would have thought it through before taking action.
Cristiano Ronaldo Refutes Idea of Management
As the forward talked about his football journey, the idea of becoming a manager was far from his mind.
He stated that his main focus is on playing, setting records, and getting all the accolades possible.
Meanwhile among his several achievements is a special award for continuous success in the Champions League.
This award came from the UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin.
