Iconic American rock band Jane Addiction canceled all tours due to an on-stage clash in Boston, Massachusetts.
Meanwhile, band members Perry Farrell, David Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins, and Eric Avery promised to make refunds.
In a statement on Monday, the band said it was an uneasy decision to cancel their 12-gig shows across the United States.
And that they needed to take time off from public performances.
Moreover, the band promised to make ticket refunds at the point of purchase.
On September 13, 2024, the Jane Addiction band cut short their gigs after Perry Farrell brawled with David Navarro.
The 65-year-old Farrell shouted at his fellow band member Navarro and punched him.
The brawl became intense, so a staff had to restrain the two band members.
Meanwhile, Farrell’s spouse, Etty, said they have been under pressure lately among band members.
Farrell apologized to fans, stating he had no excuse for his flare-up on Friday’s show.
He told Variety in an interview that he reflected on his actions over the weekend.
Also, Farrell tendered his apology to Dave Navarro and took full responsibility for his actions.
Jane Addiction Band Rise to Prominence
The Jane Addiction band had its humble beginnings in Los Angeles in 1985.
Farrell formed the Jane Addiction band after disintegrating from the Psi Com band.
The band released its initial live album titled Jane Addiction in 1987.
Perry Farrell is the singer, Dave Navarro is the guitarist, Stephen Perkins is the drummer, and Eric Avery is the bassist.
Notably, Jane Addiction is one of the bands that gained wide acceptance in the 1990s.
Moreover, the band’s hit songs include “Just Because,” “True Nature,” and “Been Caught Stealing.”
Furthermore, the band jointly released four hit albums: “Nothing Shocking” in 1988, “Ritual De Lo Habitual” in 1990, “Strays” in 2003, and “The Great Escape Artist” in 2011.
Additionally, the band received the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2013.
