In 2012, legendary Don Jazzy established Mavin Records, becoming a shining example of creativity and talent in the African music industry.
Jazzy’s vision is to catapult Mavin Records to extraordinary heights in line with the legacy of Mo Hits Records (now extinct).
Interestingly, the vision is for the future of Afrobeats and has emerged for the beautification of African music.

The Record label nurtured some of the most prominent artists, producers, and industry professionals in Afrobeats in the past 12 years.
The label has been running from the front for generations, positioning itself as a viable platform for global stars.
Some of Mavin Records’ icons from the early 2010s include Tiwa Savage, Wande Coal, and Korede Bello among others.
Currently, the label breeds Rema, Ayra Starr, Ladipoe, Johnny Drille, Crayon, Bayanni, Boy Spyce, Lifesize Teddy, and DJ Big N.
It also added producers by 2022 to make it more inclusive, supporting all aspects of the creative industry.
Andre Vibez, Prestige, and Sevn became producers, and then Mbryo and Milar became songwriters at Mavin in the same year.

Interestingly, Universal Music, the world’s largest music company, just purchased a multi-million dollar majority stake deal in Mavin Records.
This multimillion-dollar deal highlights that the Records is Nigeria’s most important record label.
Also, to support creativity in the entertainment industry, the Record label includes new producers to its already existing list.
Mavin Records, through initiatives like the Mavin Future Five program, continues to focus on developing next-generation industry leaders.
