The FCT Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh has ordered an immediate investigation into the demise of an Abuja crossdresser.
FCT Police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh disclosed on Thursday that the command is looking into the issue of the crossdresser’s demise.
Moreover, Adeh said the police received a distress call on Thursday that a lady’s corpse was lying at the Katampe- Mabushi Expressway. According to her, the FCT command immediately swung into action and dispatched officials to Katampe- Mabushi Expressway.
Furthermore, the police discovered that the person lying along the expressway was a man in female attire. However, the police found no means of identification on the victim’s body.
According to the FCT spokesperson, the police rushed the victim to the Maitama District Hospital. However, doctors on duty at Maitama District Hospital confirmed the victim dead.
Additionally, Adeh said the FCT Police commissioner has ordered a discreet investigation into the demise of the crossdresser.
Moreover, the police promise to keep the public updated on its investigation in the coming days said Adeh.

The FCT police discovered personal items and a handbag lying on the road beside the crossdresser’s corpse.
