President Bola Tinubu will meet with the state governors of the federation at the National Economic Council.
This meeting will mark the 142nd meeting of the National Economic Council which will take place at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, on Thursday.
According to Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, the President’s appearance at the meeting will make it unusual.
Femi said this in Kano State while speaking in an important delegation to sympathize with Vice President Shettima, who lost his mother-in-law.
Furthermore, Femi delivered the President’s message to Shettima and disclosed that President Tinubu will attend the NEC meeting this Thursday.

Tinubu to Consult with State Governors Over Minimum Wage Conclusions
The discussion of the minimum wage is still far from a conclusion.
So, the NEC meeting will provide another platform for more discussions on the matter.
On Tuesday, the Federal Executive Council deferred the Tripartite committee’s report concerning the minimum wage.
Moreover, the President needed to deliberate further with other stakeholders on the matter.
State governors, local government authorities, and the private sector will attend the Thursday meeting.
Minister Mohammed Idris of the Ministry of Information and National Orientation explained that the issue of minimum wage involves stakeholders beyond the Federal Government.
For this reason, the Federal Executive Council did not act on the report presented by the tripartite committee.
According to Idris, the Federal Executive Council stepped down the memo to buy the President more time to consult stakeholders.
The President will meet with the state governors and the Organize Private Sector before making a presentation to the National Assembly.
